Summer Energy School organised by SOCAR and ADA University’s Caspian Energy and Environmental Center is of a great importance for youth professionals increasing their professions according to the modern claims.

 


Baku Summer Energy School

This year, 47 energy experts from 17 countries joined the 9th Summer Energy School. In recent years, audience were informed about historic position of Azerbaijan at oil and gas production, discovery of new fields at Azerbaijan sector of Caspian, role of Azerbaijan at energy safety of regional countries at Summer Energy School which known between international professionals, began to draw political, scientific and efficient apartment’s representatives. Within two weeks school participants listened to lectures on topics about political and economic fundamentals of the energy sector, legal base, energy and foreign policy, energy and environment and benefits of interactive exercises. They organize meetings with interesting guests in Summer Energy School. Prominent oilman-scientist, academic, SOCAR first Vice-President of Geology, Geophysics and Field development Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh’s lecture about “Historic steps in development of Caspian Sea. Hydrocarbon reserves; legendary geolog’s personal anecdotes caused a great interest. Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh who have played a great role in development of Azerbaijan oil and gas industry gave information and talked his memories about the discovery of more than 20 oil and gas fields in the basin of Caspian Sea Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Russian sectors, including world’s famous “Azeri”, ”Chirag”, ”Gunashli”, and “Shahdeniz” fields. SOCAR Vice-President Elshad Nasirov and the Chairman of “Azerkimya” production association, Mukhtar Babayev visited Summer Energy School. Elshad Nasirov has performed on “Maintenance of competition in global environmental change; Preparation and evaluation of SOCAR strategy and Mukhtar Babayev gave detailed information to the participants on “Types of agreements of oil industry, economy and finance management”. Both performation caused great interest. It should be noted, over the past 8 years at Baku Summer School organized by ADA University and SOCAR 350 local and international energy experts have trained and attended to graduate school.
